Magical

Its Christmas Eve, the kids are in bed and Steve is wrapping presents. I am sitting here thinking about Christmas and how magical it is. Tonight my heart is so full. It is full of love for my family. My kids, my sweet husband, my amazing parents, my grandparents, Steve's parents and family... I could go on and on. I am grateful for Christ. I have felt him near today... I want to cry like a baby as I sit here and reflect on the day and hear music from Chances room... First song: I am a child of God. Second song: If the savior stood beside me. We have been so blessed. I have enjoyed watching Chance really get into the spirit of Christmas! He is so excited! Kami has been so sweet and fun too! I have so much to tell about today.... but it will have to be another day... But I do want to mention the gifts we recieved from my parents. My mom made us books this year. They are so amazing. I hope she knows that we will always cherish those books and the memories contained in them! I want to repeat something Nephi said. "I have been born of goodly parents." I hope this magic continues for a long time for everyone! Merry Christmas!

So much to do... so little time

I have been wanting to blog and just let everyone know we are still here and doing well. Things have just been so busy! I went to Twilight and that was an experience!! That is a blog post all on its own... Steve and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary! We went to dinner and did some shopping without any kids! It was really nice! We decided that next year we need to leave home!! So wish us luck with that! I just want to let Steve know that after four years I still love him so much and I am excited for us to have more time together when he finishes school. We had Thanksgiving, and it was so good to spend time with Family and the food was good! We have so much to be grateful for! Including our sweet children! Well, we think they are sweet even though Chance has been a naughty boy (especially in nursery... he thinks hitting is really fun now.) We went shopping the day after Thanksgiving and it was a ZOO! but we found some really good deals and got our shopping and wrapping mostly all done!! So that feels great! There is just so much going on, but we love the holidays! I'm excited to get the house all decorated, so it will feel more like Christmas! I also just have to say that I love my calling! I was put in as a Sunday School teacher for the 14-15 year olds and it has forced me to study the scriptures more often and I love it! I feel like it is inviting the Spirit into my life and I love the things I am learning. Well I have so many things that I have wanted to post and haven't lately, but I will catch up soon hopefully... but here are a few little notes and stories... Kami started sitting up and rolling this past week! Chance has started falling asleep in really random places and positions. Kami has found that falling asleep in Daddy's arms really is fun. One of Chance's new favorite things is "Moowie night" (movie night) He loves Kung Fu Panda, Wall-e, and any Santa Moowie. He also loves to say "ho ho ho, moowy Christmas!" STEVE will be done with another semester on Friday and then he will only have two more semesters until he is done!!! Well that is a few random things going on in our lives at the moment! Oh, one more thing... Kami learned to play with her doll! I am posting a video of it!Its pretty funny!

My little MUMMY'S

Halloween was fun this year! Chance understood it more than last year and the kids were mummies. I think they looked so stinkin cute! I owe a ton of thanks to my mom who did 90% of the sewing.... I attempted, but since I just started sewing a month or two ago, I'm not real fast. So I only did Kami's pants. I did a shirt for her, but it ended up not fitting, so we had to make another one and my mom did that one.
We started our Halloween day by going to daddy's work to the parade they do every year. It was fun. He had to work through it, so we went through without him. But we did get to catch up with him after. Everyone went crazy for the kids costumes. I am definately biased, so I thought they were pretty cute!We had to add bows and buttons to Kami's outfit so she wouldn' look like a little boy mummy. We still had people tell us our little boys were cute... poor Kami looks just like her big brother!
This was my favorite view of chances costume. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it was cute. The fabric in the back just hung from his cute little behind. After the parade we went to the football game with Grandpa Lynn and Bupbears Sandi to see the "tite's" according to Chance. (Titans, according to everyone else.) It was fun. they did good, and the weather was really nice!
When daddy got home we went to see Great Grandma and Gramps. They love seeing the kids all dressed up. They approved of the costumes this year. Last year they told me that I was a mean mom for dressing Chance like Frankenstein. Of course the were joking...
I think they are one of my favorite places to go on Halloween! They are always so excited to see the kids. When I was pregnant with Chance Gramps would ask me all the time "When is the puppy coming?" So his first halloween he was a cute little puppy as a surprise for Gramps!

Another funny joke we have with Gramps is that he asked me for a picture of Chance to put on his table of grandkids and great grandkids when Chance was born... well I just got the pictures to him like a month ago... So everytime I take a picture with him and the kids he says, "So should I plan on getting a copy in a year or two years?" I told him to plan on two and if it comes sooner he can be pleasantly surprised! haha. I love my gramps!!
After that we went to Grandpa Glen and Grandma Dorothy's house to visit them. We got a picture of our little family over there. Yeah, Steve couldn't get enough of the mullet. I think he secretly wishes he could grow one like that! Haha.
Grandma had seen the costume but grandpa hadn't, they both loved it! And the kids loved seeing them. Our only complaint is that we didn't have longer to stay and visit with everyone. That night goes so fast!
Next we stopped and Grandpa Lynn's and Bupbear Sandi's for sloppy joes, wassail and donuts... yummy! Abby stopped by at the same time so we got to see her in her cute Witch costume. She was so cute! And Ty stopped by in his scout costume. Chance was sick of pictures and he was a little frightened by Ty's costume! Check out his cute face!
It was a fun night. After that me and Kami passed out treats to the trick or treaters and Steve and Chance went trick or treating with Dennis, Hunter and Hailey. Good times, good times!

Murder Mystery

Last night we went to Clint and Jenny's house for a Murder Mystery party! It was fun! If you couldn't tell from the pictures the theme was the eighties... It was nice, they had babysitters there for the kids. So we were able to have party and still have the kids there.
This is my cool eyes... my first time wearing fake eyelashes! Nice huh?
We dressed Kami up in her leggins and used my socks for leg-warmers for her... I think she looked so cute!! We couldn't really figure out a boys costume... so Chance was just in a big t-shirt with his hair all crazy.
Steve and I were assigned to be Jim and Tammy Faye Baker... In case nobody knows who they are; Jim Baker was a televangelist (TV Preacher, pretty much) who was involved in scandals, such as sleeping with lots of hookers... He didn't really wear a mullet, but since we were at an eighties party Steve just had to wear a mullet wig. Tammy Faye Baker, was always known for her caked-on makeup and in all the pictures I ever saw of her, she was pretty fancy. My mom happened to have this awesome dress that she found at the D.I. years ago! Pretty cool huh?
Katie did my make-up and my hair for me. So that was nice! It was fun to get all done up in fun costumes! Steve even got into it! And he got to wear his pink tie again from Josh's wedding! He never thought he would wear it again! haha.
Oh... And Chance just had to try on the mullet wig! Looks pretty good huh? It was a fun night! We decided we aren't really cut out for acting... We just stood around and talked to the people we knew. It was our first time ever going to one. It was fun though. And you will be happy to know that we didn't do it!

The Pumpkin Walk

Well we started out the night with our pumkin dinner. It was pretty good. I was a little worried about it when I was making it, but it turned out pretty good. The recipe is on allrecipes.com and it is called Teri's Dinner in a Pumpkin. It was pretty easy and fun! It was good with breadsticks. Then we went to the pumpkin walk with Jason and Amanda Bickley and it was fun! It was a little chilly for the kids, but it was a good time! We love the fall! Kami and Steve were having fun! He had her giggling most of the time! She is really starting to be more playful!
The pumpkins were cool. I can't believe how much detail some of them had! Chance loved it! But he has this new thing for pumpkins, he loved watching the food cooking in the pumpkin. He kept sneaking over to check on it.
We brought the stroller for Kami, but it turned out that Chance wanted to sit and Kami wanted to be held! haha.
This is Steve and Kami with our good friend Jason and his cute little girl Nora. Nora and Kami had the same due date, but Nora couldn't wait... so me and Amanda didn't get to hang out in recovery! Me and Amanda were remembering that last Halloween we went to a party with the Larsens and we were both pregnant, but didn't tell anyone! Funny times!

It was a good night! We finished it up with some hot chocolate from Maverik... MMMMM. and Steve and I stopped at Redbox and got Iron Man. I think Steve liked the movie... me and Kami snuggled on the couch and... that was the end of it. I think that happens with most movies we rent. Steve watches them and I snooze... Anyway, it was a fun night! Thanks for inviting us to go Jason and Amanda!

Pumpkin Fun!!

I'm excited! We are going to the Pumpkin Walk tonight and before I am going to make dinner in a pumpkin. I have never done this before, but I have heard it is fun! So I will try to remember to take pictures and I will post the recipe if it is good! I think I am just excited to get out of the house! It is sad, but I already have cabin fever so bad! Oh, and speaking of the outdoors... Check out Steve's Fishin Blog. He updated it with all sorts of stuff!! Well hopefully I will be posting soon with some fun pictures!

Oh, this picture is a picture of our first halloween together... (married.) Do we look so much younger or what??

Tuesday, October 21, 2008

Well its been a while since I have blogged, things have been crazy, but we haven't had a whole lot of excitement at our house... I am actually sad, because I was so excited to post pictures of our fun date to see REBA (my favorite singer) and Kelly... but we weren't able to go... Sweet Kami wont take a bottle, so my options are very limited. I have been struggling a little bit with it. We can't do anything without her and I would really like some "me" time. We will keep trying the bottle, but if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them!!! But I love fall. I am excited for Halloween! I love it! I have been puting together the kids costumes with a TON of help from my mom... I will post pictures after halloween! I am excited for it, but I don't know if I can top last year. Every year we go up to the halloween parade at McKay Dee Hospital and everyone there loved Chance's costume. It was perfect because his walk matched his costume. He had just learned to walk. Here are some pictures of it!

Oh, but I do have some fun news... I got a new calling and I am sooooooooo excited for it! I got called to be the Sunday School teacher of the 14-15 year olds in my ward. Luckily that is my sister's class and I taught the first time on Sunday and I'm excited for it! Man, I can't think of much else that is going on in our lives... but hopefully I will have more to post next time. Also, I have been tagged by a few people and I have to say sorry. I am not good at doing stuff like that, but I am going to try to do some sometime... I am a slacker blogger, what can I say?

First Haircut, a giggle, and a happy mom

I love this baby girl! I have often thought since Kami was born that she knows when I need her to be good. She seems to do the very best on days that I am busy... or need My time... I think she is a very thoughtful person... She thinks about my feelings already. Well today was no different. I was having a rough morning. I was really sad and I just wanted to cry. I held sweet Kami and she giggled for me for the first time! It cheered me up. She is an angel. I hope she knows how much that giggle meant to me today! I just need to say that I am thankful for her and for Chance and for Steve. Their love is what keeps me going everyday! P.S. Do you like Kami's first haircut?

What a life!!!

The last couple of days for me have been those days where you take a moment to step back and realize what an amazing life I have. Being the husband to the most amazing woman and to be the father of two children that still your hear with a smile is a feeling that truly humbles me. To watch Chance light up and enjoy his day makes all of the frustrating days at work and school feel worth it. Having Kami smile at me pulls at my heart more than I ever imagined possible. I love my kids so much and can not imagine having life any other way. Natalie is such an amazing person. She juggles so much to be able to take care of the kids, house, herself, church, family, and the list goes on and on! And she does all this while I am gone the majority of every day. Thank you Nat. I really do appreciate all that you do for our family! It's amazing and humbling to see what our Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I know I don't  deserve it, but I am sure thankful for it!!

Chance's "Happy Day!"

Yesterday was Chance's Birthday! It was such a fun day! We woke up and got him out of his crib and said, "Chance, what day is it?" and he said "Happy Day!" We had some breakfast and we got Chance ready for a couple of fun hours with Grandma Bupbears Sandi. They took him to Toys R Us where they gave him a balloon and a hat and had him walk around and everyone told him Happy Birthday!
While Chance was gone we put up his big boy bed and rearanged his room. It turned out really cute! So we set up the video camera in his room so that we could see his expression when he walked in for the first time! It was so cute... He looked around and finally said "Wow!" and then he said "Tractor!"
Then we tried to get him to open presents. He didn't want to because he was pretty excited about his tractor. First he opened the matchbox cars that his daddy bought for him... we should have stopped buying after that! He didn't want anything else!
So Abby helped him open his presents. I'm glad someone was excited for them! He loved all of his presents. He was so excited. He just kept saying "Happy Day!"
Grampa and Bupbears Sandi came, Bo, Jen and Abby Came...
and Grandma and Grampa Bouy came to see him open his presents! Make sure to look in the background of this next picture at the quilt that Grandma Bouy made for Chance's big boy bed! It turned out so cute! Chance loved it.
We had some cake with everyone there! Everytime we asked Chance how old he was he would put up both pointer fingers and say "two." All in all it was a great day! We had so much fun and I really think Chance could tell it was a Happy Day and that it was HIS special day. I loved seeing him have such a fun time. He is just getting more and more fun each day and I love that little man!
We just wont bring up the first night in his big boy bed... this is supposed to be a happy post!

Friends!

I just wanted to write a quick note about how fun it has been to see my friends lately. A couple weeks ago we had a get together with all of my friends from high school. It was so fun to see all of them! I just love being able to see how they have changed and how we have all stayed friends! I also had a fun visit with Amber the other day! It was fun to see her sweet Gracee and to visit and catch up. We also went to Logan today and we visited with Ty and Whit! We sure love them! They are so good with our kids and it is so fun that Steve and Ty get along so good and I am grateful we have stayed close! And last but not least we visited with Nicki and Wes. Its a crazy story! Nicki and I were like best friends in elementary and she moved when we were 10. I always wondered about her, but we didn't keep in touch. Well earlier this week she found me and we got together with them today as well! It was so fun to catch up with her! Steve and her husband Wes got along really well too. I loved visiting with her and it was fun to watch our kids together! She has a boy a week younger than Chance and another little boy like 10 days older than Kami. I thought it was crazy that our lives have turned out so similar! It was such a fun week! I am truly grateful for good friends.

Crazy Life!!

Well August was definately busy, but good. We went on the bow hunt at the beginning and lots has happened since then! Me and the kids rode horses with the neighbors... Chance loved it and...
Kami didn't... haha.

I've had so much to post about, but my computer has been so slow. I got a stupid virus on it and ever since it has been impossible to get anything done on it. But I've been working really hard lately too trying to get my house in order. I think I finally have the energy and motivation to get it back in good shape. So I've been doing some canning with my mom and I got my storage room all organized and it is actually stocked up pretty good. I went through all of Chances toys and organized them. I chucked some too, since he has a way of ruining them. I have even been taking one room at a time and deep deep cleaning. I find stuff like that almost impossible to do with a toddler, so naptime is now my project time. It has felt really good to accomplish a lot of stuff around here.
But our best accomplishment was.... WINNING OUR BIGGEST LOSER COMPETITION! YAY! WE WON!!! If I haven't told you about it Dennis and Cortney and Steve and Me all did our own little biggest loser competition and it was really fun. We just had weekly winner prizes and we did it for 10 weeks. The winning couple got $100. It was a blast! It was a close race though. Dennis and Cortney held there own the whole time and it was really close! When we started out we were within a half pound of each other and at the end Steve and I lost 42 pounds put together, and they lost 37 pounds. So it was close! I am so glad we all did so well. That was over 10 weeks and we all feel much better. Steve and Dennis are continuing on in another competition. Cortney and I are both within 10 pounds of our goals, so we are just sitting the competition out. It has been so great to lose the baby weight so quickly this time. I didn't get down to this weight the first time until Chance was 9 months old and Kami is just barely 3 months old. So I feel great about it. Steve and I are even giving running a try! It feels good to push ourselves and do these things together! So that is our biggest news. Chance turns 2 next week. I can't really believe it! We are going to try him in a big boy bed... I'm a little nervous for that. I love the fact that he can't get out of bed. But it is time. After that Kami is going to her own room and we are going to have our room back to ourselves.

Kami is getting so big. She is smiling a ton now and she can lift her head so good and today she sat up by herself for a few seconds. Chance is crazy as ever, but he is learning to sing really well. He knows lots of the words to "I am a Child of God," "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes," "popcorn popping," and of course the monkey song! And he is doing really well at saying prayers. He can copy us really well, but on his own he says "hevly father, sank u day..... sank u..... sheesus chwist.... amen" Its really cute to hear it. He seems so smart to me, but I don't know if that is just because he is my little boy. But I sure love him! Well as you can tell there is a ton going on in our lives. Oh and one more Chance story... I went to get him after his Sunday nap last week and he had woken up and cried and went back to sleep and when he woke up again and I went to get him he was so funny. He said, "momma, my eyes... I Crine (thats how he says crying.) I dont wanna go to sleep again. (as he pointed to his pillow.) He is so funny! I love it!

The Bow Hunt

Well we survived a WHOLE WEEK (yeah, thats right... 7 days) of camping with Crazy man and a newborn. Brave huh? I thought so. But it went pretty good. I can say that now that it is passed. Kami was a total angel. She was a perfect baby up there and that I am grateful for. Chance loved and I mean LOVED playing in the dirt and eating as you will see from the pictures. But he was a little tough up there. Naptime was impossible because he knew what he was missing out on. Nights were rough too because Steve went out on the night hunts and it was a little chilly for us to be outside, so keeping him happy in the trailer was a killer. But he slept good and he had a great time... but I was ready to be home after a few days... camping was much easier before kids, but it is fun to see our kids learn to love the outdoors like we do. Chance found a few new best friends too! He loved playing with Hayley and Hunter from sun-up to sun-down and he realized that Dennis was a good guy to go to when we told him no... Example: Chance says: "mom, I wanna treat." I say: "how about you have lunch/dinner first and then you can have one." Chance says: "Dense (thats what he calls Dennis) treat?" and Dennis gets him a popsicle... or four right before lunch. haha. I had a good time visiting with Cortney and Dorothy too. It really was a nice trip. And I did enjoy when I was able to go with Steve and spot deer for him. He didn't get one, but he can tell you about the big beauty he missed... sorry honey!

Chance would say "cheese" and right after I would take the picture he would say "cute!" And I would laugh and he would say... "Funny!" He is a crack up!

Here is our cute little trailer!

The kids loved their warm pajamas from grandma sandi. And Chance LOVED playing with sticks.

Kami was sooo good and she grinned a lot! She even learned how to play pinochle with daddy...

I love today!!

I just wanted to write a short blog about today! It has been such a great day. Nothing extra special, just a regular Sunday, but today I am grateful. Of course with a (almost) two year old sacrament is always pretty crazy, but today Chance did so good. He was kind of cuddly and he was happy, so that was a nice surprise! Everyone always wants to hold sweet Kami, but today I really enjoyed holding my little man! He is a sweet kid! I am also very thankful for Nursery. Chance loves it and I love the opportunity it gives me to go to class and feel of the spirit. Kami and I missed Sunday school because of feeding and diaper changes, but Relief Society was so great! I don't know if it has been a while since I really felt the spirit or what, but it was great. The lesson was about being a daughter of God. I don't think about this nearly enough. I am thankful to be a daughter of God. I know he loves me and today I was touched to feel the spirit testify it to me. I also looked in my sweet baby's sleeping face and realized that she was a daughter of God too. What a special moment! Since church the kids have been sleeping and I got to get a little rest as well. I think I needed a day like this, Heavenly Father does love me. He knows when I need something and he blesses me. I he knows I love him and appreciate him. It was a great day. I am still going to write about her blessing day one of these days, but I will put a picture so you can see how sweet she is in her white dress, and since I am thinking about daughters of God, I will put our Four Generation picture. My Mom, My Grandma Beazer, Kami, and Me.

"ations Daddy!!"

Yesterday was such a great day! First thing in the morning Steve went and took his Boards for Radiology and he passed!! We are sooooo proud of him! We were excited to have him done with that part of school, so we wanted to have a fun day! So we went swimming. We decided Steve really needed to take Chance swimming because Chance says "fwim, Bo" EVERY DAY! We thought it might be good for Chance to remember swimming with his dad and mom too! So we went and Chance is getting soooo brave! He wasn't even scared to get in the water and after a while he was playing by himself and kicking his legs and before we knew it he was jumping in and saying "again." He is getting so much personality! He copies everything we say (scary, huh) and he realizes that he is funny! We decided that we needed to take Daddy out for a fun dinner since he passed his test. So we went to Texas Roadhouse! It was so yummy! But Chance sat in the booster seat next to me and ate his food all by himself and loved it! He kept saying, "mommy, daddy, Fwun!" I said "Tell daddy congratulations for passing his test and he said, "ations Daddy!" He is so cute!
Steve and I really enjoyed our time together too! We were flirting and having fun! The things we don't get to do quite as much with two children! It was a great day and we are sooooo proud of Steve for all of his hardwork! WE LOVE YOU STEVE!!!
And Today Chance was so cute, we got home from running an errand and the baby was crying in her chair and Chance turned to me and said "Mom, Baby Sad... Hode her mom." (Hold Her) and I said "yeah, baby is sad, huh?" and he said "Hode her mom." He is so fun! He really is starting to get it! Sometimes when she is crying he says. "Baby... OK?" It is such a good thing that kids are so cute! It makes all the craziness seem worth it!

Who do I look like?
