Love the kids... need a break...

Does anyone else ever feel like they need a break from the crying, whining, fit throwing.... I'm at that point today... But here are a couple of things I love about the kids.

Lately Chance is having a hard time going to sleep. He is scared of something in his room... so last night he wasn't quite ready for bed. So we let him watch TV with us. We were watching The Bachelor. We haven't watched it at all, but it was the only thing on worth watching last night. At one point Molly came on the show and Chance said "She's pretty mom." and he was kind of giggling. Me and Steve were laughing so hard. Then I said, "Is she prettier than mommy?" and he said "no." and he paused and said "her on the show though." It was so funny. He's a crack-up. He has been doing way better in Nursery. His teachers said that he is like a different kid. So that is great news too.

Kami is funny too. She is now crawling all over, pulling herself up on things and she has two little teeth. She will be 9 months old this week. It has gone pretty fast! But she has two funny things she does lately. She gets shy when people talk to her and turns her head sideways. Its so cute. The other thing is so funny. She pulls herself up on the leather furniture and she puts her mouth on it and blows. She makes the best fart noises. She also does this on peoples arms, necks, faces. I think it is funny. She also does this funny thing with her tongue when she is concentrating. I love these kids. They bring us so much joy.

Monster Trucks, Poor Kami, Treehouse and Poor Kami...

Warning: This post is going to be very random! Haha. For Valentines day we went to the Monster Trucks! We took Chance and he LOVED it! Every day since he has said "go to monster trucks next year?" I think he thinks "next year" is sooner than it really is, but I just say "yep! We can go see them next year!"
We went with Dennis and Cortney and Hunter and Hailey. It was fun going with them! Chance loves his cousins! But it was nice to have a night with him. Kami got to stay and play with Grandma Sandi and Grandpa Lynn.

Chance loved the whole night. He still talks about it and says "Monster Trucks ZZROOOM ZZROOM! Noisy! Go to Monster trucks again!" He even plays with his Monster trucks and lines up cars and runs them over! He loved the motorcycles too.
This next one is where the first Poor Kami comes in. One day while I was doing dishes Kami fell down the stairs... poor little girl. She is going to be tough... She became mobile so quick... It makes me sad, but she is getting really fun too!
Last month sometime we went to the treehouse museum. Steve had a day off and we decided we all needed to get out of the house. Chance loved the firetruck.

Kami loved standing and playing with the toys. She likes that she can start to do things on her own a little more.
Chance was a little bit afraid of our new president... We put him in the chair and he kept looking back with a scared look on his face! It was funny! I would have posted that picture, but I thought this picture of Steve was priceless.
This last picture is the only one we got of the kids together... They loved those panda's. The day was really fun! Chance just ran from thing to thing and we just enjoyed being there!
The last poor Kami is that the sweet little girl has Pink Eye... She has been sick for a couple weeks now... She started out with the flu. Throwing up all the time and just laying around... it was so sad. Then she had a cold and it made her throw up and get bad fevers and now she has pink eye and she is just miserable. She didn't sleep at all last night and I just feel bad for her! Well that is our catch up... oh and one last thing... We put our house up for sale!

Its fun having a girl!

Well I'm not really going to try to catch up since it has been so long. There has just been too much going on. But I will say that I love having a little girl. Here are a few reasons why...

The side ponytails... (not the attitude)
The cute dolls and fun little outfits.

The pigtails...

The ponytail web... not sure what else to call it... but it is my personal favorite! But most of all I love her big blue eyes and her smiles and her little giggles. I am sad she is growing up so fast. She started crawling two days ago... My little baby is growing up so quick. I sure love her though... and I guess I love her cute big brother too... He's pretty special as well...

Magical

Its Christmas Eve, the kids are in bed and Steve is wrapping presents. I am sitting here thinking about Christmas and how magical it is. Tonight my heart is so full. It is full of love for my family. My kids, my sweet husband, my amazing parents, my grandparents, Steve's parents and family... I could go on and on. I am grateful for Christ. I have felt him near today... I want to cry like a baby as I sit here and reflect on the day and hear music from Chances room... First song: I am a child of God. Second song: If the savior stood beside me. We have been so blessed. I have enjoyed watching Chance really get into the spirit of Christmas! He is so excited! Kami has been so sweet and fun too! I have so much to tell about today.... but it will have to be another day... But I do want to mention the gifts we recieved from my parents. My mom made us books this year. They are so amazing. I hope she knows that we will always cherish those books and the memories contained in them! I want to repeat something Nephi said. "I have been born of goodly parents." I hope this magic continues for a long time for everyone! Merry Christmas!

So much to do... so little time

I have been wanting to blog and just let everyone know we are still here and doing well. Things have just been so busy! I went to Twilight and that was an experience!! That is a blog post all on its own... Steve and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary! We went to dinner and did some shopping without any kids! It was really nice! We decided that next year we need to leave home!! So wish us luck with that! I just want to let Steve know that after four years I still love him so much and I am excited for us to have more time together when he finishes school. We had Thanksgiving, and it was so good to spend time with Family and the food was good! We have so much to be grateful for! Including our sweet children! Well, we think they are sweet even though Chance has been a naughty boy (especially in nursery... he thinks hitting is really fun now.) We went shopping the day after Thanksgiving and it was a ZOO! but we found some really good deals and got our shopping and wrapping mostly all done!! So that feels great! There is just so much going on, but we love the holidays! I'm excited to get the house all decorated, so it will feel more like Christmas! I also just have to say that I love my calling! I was put in as a Sunday School teacher for the 14-15 year olds and it has forced me to study the scriptures more often and I love it! I feel like it is inviting the Spirit into my life and I love the things I am learning. Well I have so many things that I have wanted to post and haven't lately, but I will catch up soon hopefully... but here are a few little notes and stories... Kami started sitting up and rolling this past week! Chance has started falling asleep in really random places and positions. Kami has found that falling asleep in Daddy's arms really is fun. One of Chance's new favorite things is "Moowie night" (movie night) He loves Kung Fu Panda, Wall-e, and any Santa Moowie. He also loves to say "ho ho ho, moowy Christmas!" STEVE will be done with another semester on Friday and then he will only have two more semesters until he is done!!! Well that is a few random things going on in our lives at the moment! Oh, one more thing... Kami learned to play with her doll! I am posting a video of it!Its pretty funny!

My little MUMMY'S

Halloween was fun this year! Chance understood it more than last year and the kids were mummies. I think they looked so stinkin cute! I owe a ton of thanks to my mom who did 90% of the sewing.... I attempted, but since I just started sewing a month or two ago, I'm not real fast. So I only did Kami's pants. I did a shirt for her, but it ended up not fitting, so we had to make another one and my mom did that one.
We started our Halloween day by going to daddy's work to the parade they do every year. It was fun. He had to work through it, so we went through without him. But we did get to catch up with him after. Everyone went crazy for the kids costumes. I am definately biased, so I thought they were pretty cute!We had to add bows and buttons to Kami's outfit so she wouldn' look like a little boy mummy. We still had people tell us our little boys were cute... poor Kami looks just like her big brother!
This was my favorite view of chances costume. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it was cute. The fabric in the back just hung from his cute little behind. After the parade we went to the football game with Grandpa Lynn and Bupbears Sandi to see the "tite's" according to Chance. (Titans, according to everyone else.) It was fun. they did good, and the weather was really nice!
When daddy got home we went to see Great Grandma and Gramps. They love seeing the kids all dressed up. They approved of the costumes this year. Last year they told me that I was a mean mom for dressing Chance like Frankenstein. Of course the were joking...
I think they are one of my favorite places to go on Halloween! They are always so excited to see the kids. When I was pregnant with Chance Gramps would ask me all the time "When is the puppy coming?" So his first halloween he was a cute little puppy as a surprise for Gramps!

Another funny joke we have with Gramps is that he asked me for a picture of Chance to put on his table of grandkids and great grandkids when Chance was born... well I just got the pictures to him like a month ago... So everytime I take a picture with him and the kids he says, "So should I plan on getting a copy in a year or two years?" I told him to plan on two and if it comes sooner he can be pleasantly surprised! haha. I love my gramps!!
After that we went to Grandpa Glen and Grandma Dorothy's house to visit them. We got a picture of our little family over there. Yeah, Steve couldn't get enough of the mullet. I think he secretly wishes he could grow one like that! Haha.
Grandma had seen the costume but grandpa hadn't, they both loved it! And the kids loved seeing them. Our only complaint is that we didn't have longer to stay and visit with everyone. That night goes so fast!
Next we stopped and Grandpa Lynn's and Bupbear Sandi's for sloppy joes, wassail and donuts... yummy! Abby stopped by at the same time so we got to see her in her cute Witch costume. She was so cute! And Ty stopped by in his scout costume. Chance was sick of pictures and he was a little frightened by Ty's costume! Check out his cute face!
It was a fun night. After that me and Kami passed out treats to the trick or treaters and Steve and Chance went trick or treating with Dennis, Hunter and Hailey. Good times, good times!

Murder Mystery

Last night we went to Clint and Jenny's house for a Murder Mystery party! It was fun! If you couldn't tell from the pictures the theme was the eighties... It was nice, they had babysitters there for the kids. So we were able to have party and still have the kids there.
This is my cool eyes... my first time wearing fake eyelashes! Nice huh?
We dressed Kami up in her leggins and used my socks for leg-warmers for her... I think she looked so cute!! We couldn't really figure out a boys costume... so Chance was just in a big t-shirt with his hair all crazy.
Steve and I were assigned to be Jim and Tammy Faye Baker... In case nobody knows who they are; Jim Baker was a televangelist (TV Preacher, pretty much) who was involved in scandals, such as sleeping with lots of hookers... He didn't really wear a mullet, but since we were at an eighties party Steve just had to wear a mullet wig. Tammy Faye Baker, was always known for her caked-on makeup and in all the pictures I ever saw of her, she was pretty fancy. My mom happened to have this awesome dress that she found at the D.I. years ago! Pretty cool huh?
Katie did my make-up and my hair for me. So that was nice! It was fun to get all done up in fun costumes! Steve even got into it! And he got to wear his pink tie again from Josh's wedding! He never thought he would wear it again! haha.
Oh... And Chance just had to try on the mullet wig! Looks pretty good huh? It was a fun night! We decided we aren't really cut out for acting... We just stood around and talked to the people we knew. It was our first time ever going to one. It was fun though. And you will be happy to know that we didn't do it!

Who do I look like?
